Consumer Law

Let the buyer beware – but let the seller pay when the seller is wrong.

No one deserves to get cheated. But it happens. There are laws in place to protect consumers from deceptive trade practices. These laws protect consumers from a whole host of common scams. We work hard to protect our clients from being taken advantage of. We sue companies large and small.

Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act

The Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) is a law intended to protect “consumers” from “deceptive” trade practices. A consumer does not need to be an individual. In fact, the court will readily recognize a small business owner as a “consumer.” Despite common belief, you don’t even have to purchase anything to be protected by the DTPA. Any deceptive or fraudulent statement that influences how you contemplate purchasing a product or service is covered under the DTPA.

We sue companies that try to cheat customers. Whether it is a body shop that did a terrible job or a service provider the bent the truth to induce you to sign-up, we are relentless. When you don’t know who to call, we answer.
